Not too long ago a gentleman emailed me and asked me to join a "brand new" business blogging and article website, not yet launched. He emailed me 2-weeks prior to the launch date, promising to highlight one article per week in one of three categories to help get business contacts. Of course, he wanted me to write articles for free to help increase his content, search engine ranking and readership.

In trade, I would have lots of business, unfortunately, the site is brand new. And, as you might have heard most business blogging networks fail or are later sold and the new owner changes all the rules and they own your content, convenient indeed. How does this help those who build the site? It doesn't.

Do people really make lots of money and contacts by joining business blogging networks, the answer is NO, no they don't. So then, why are they allowed to over promise, over hype and under deliver? Because the FTC or Federal Trade Commission won't deal with it, they are allowing the consumer or small business owners in this case to get the shaft.

  1. Are All Business Blogging Networks Fraudulent?
  2. Do Most Business Blogging Network Owners Over Hype, Over Promise and Under Deliver?

Well some business blogging entrepreneurs and founders are fraudulent and they know darn good and well what they are doing. They are busy hoping that the network will build itself and promising of great pie-in-the-sky futures for all who participate. And yes, most small business blog social networks do over hype, they over promise and generally most all of them under deliver. I thought you should know.
